Alanna can heal and is implied to be good in combat. Sheriam or Verrin, on the other hand, cannot heal well. Obviously the Yellows are better healers and the Greens are better suited to combat, but Moraine seems like she can do both very well. Everyone seemed to have ‘their moment.’ The cadence of the chapters was absolutely stellar - lingering long enough on one part of the story to draw you in, getting yanked to another, trying to speed through the chapter to get back to the story you were just in, then getting sucked into the new chapter. In Short: I can see why many claim this is the best book of the series.
